past experience tells me not to rely on putting money down on any items. its just a build up to heartbreak... nothing like standing in the rain at 1am empty handed.

so now that gamestop has sold a decent chunk of the available ps3 inventory, all eyes move to the wii. i'm guessing that wii (ha) will see annoucements about wii pre-orders shortly (as in the next 48 hours). this site looks promising for breaking news.

Where's the hype? I mean, c'mon. An email goes out from gamestop announcing that they will begin taking pre-orders in about 18 hours or so? wtf? how about a little more time so we can plan our lives a little bit better so we can camp out for some real deep heavy dissapointment? Because of this, we don't get to have a redux of troy in 2005.

Kotaku has a pretty nice rumor right now, they have purported Best Buy launch plans for the Wii and the PS3. According to the "leaked" powerpoint slide, we can expect "pre-launch marketing sales" on 10/29 for the Wii and 10/20 for the ps3.

See, we here at console hunt would like the children to be laughing. Laughing along with us with a choice of next gen consoles.. but noooooooo... we have to wait years for PS 3... and for the Wii... who even knows if that is a hoax or not.

I mean come on... how long does it really take for thousands of Sony employees to make a lil black box.

If Boeing can churn out a 777 in under 5 years then I would officially like to say "WTF Sony...."
